If people can learn to hate, they can learn to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite. ~Nelson Mandela

Unite has been working with Nurse Ruth Matiyas since 2012 to help fund her work to care for the Hadza hunter-gather people of Lake Eyasi, Tanzania. Nurse Ruth conducts medical trainings and assessments on site, she tests for HIV/AIDS and TB, she brings those in need to hospitals and covers all expenses. She delivers food relief when necessary. She helps these endangered Hadza people bring life into the world and shepherd life out of this world.

Through our Foundation we are currently raising funds to provide Ruth a vehicle to transport sick patients back and forth to hospital and get to the Hadza people much needed food and medical relief and supplies.

Additionally, Unite sends Unite Tour clients to visit with Ruth, hunt with the Hadza and learn in the most intimate settings what life is like for these people who live as we all did prior to the advent of agriculture. We also place longer-term volunteers with Ruth and more recently helped Ruth establish a sales and marketing presence at the Kisima Ngeda Lodge Shop where tourists can purchase Hadza product and give donations to help finance Ruth’s work.
