In our ongoing commitment to empower women, men, girls and boys with accurate information about their bodies and how to care for themselves, UNITE has been working since 2009 to conduct all kinds of health trainings throughout Tanzania as well as to connect our partner medical institution with the resources, equipment and connections necessary to advance quality of care.
Additionally, Unite is always networking to connect hospitals, doctors and medical professionals here in America with their peer-counterparts in East Africa. In addition to raising funds for such partners as Berega Hospital, FAME, The Plaster House at Arusha Lutheran Hospital and for the work of Dr. Goodluck Kessy, we have hand-carried and sent hundreds of pounds of medicines, antibiotics and medical supplies from both Maternova.net and AmeriCares. Currently we are working with our partner Krysten Ericson of Maasai Honey to advance healthcare in a rural village in the Northern Serengeti through the provision of water to a local clinic as well as a nursing staff.
