Tanzania Safari CompanyThe Tanzania Safari Company, owned and operated by Francesco and Annette Pierre-Nina, offers some of the finest custom-tailored mobile-tented camp safaris in all of Africa. With more than 30 years of experience in the the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Selous, Mikumi and beyond, Francesco is able to share with clients an unsurpassed intimacy with and understanding of the wildlife, often recounting the unique life histories of specific animals, prides and herds. With Francesco, clients can also see the chimps of Gombe and gorillas in Rwanda, visit the Okavango Delta and tour Victoria Falls. Combining this safari experience with UNITE field visits will expose you to the beauty and excitment of Africa’s extremes.
JorAfrica SafarisOwned and operated by Joris Smit and Rachel Ambrose, JorAfrica offers every kind of adventure. Whatever your heart desires… from climbing, biking, diving and ballooning to R&R in the lap of luxury, JorAfrica will design the safari that is perfect for you. Joris and Anne have been working together since 2008 to create pioneer tours that combine traditional safaris with field visits and unique opportunities for extensive service in communities across Tanzania. With JorAfrica, you will have the opportunity to tour with one or more of UNITE’s guides — Elias, Fred & Geoffrey — who each bring extensive and comprehensive experience leading, tracking, guiding and teaching throughout the national parks of Tanzania’s northern circuit.
Owned and operated by Mike and Lisa Peterson, Dorobo Safaris specializes in the unparalled experience of spending time in the bush with the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last hunter gatherer people on Earth. With the Hadzabe, clients can hunt and forage. From there they often head off to climb the semi-active volcano Oldonyio Lengai – “the Maasai Mountain of God” — and/or safari in the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks, the Serengeti and beyond. UNITE is excited to announce our partnership with Dorobo. Together we are rolling out a new line of yoga service safaris, of which the first will run in January 2013. Our team will practice and teach yoga with the Hadzabe, the Maasai and others. We will also practice, explore and discover deep in the bush in some of the most spiritual spots in all of East Africa.
